Rules SRS Midwinter Rendez-vous (English)
The start of the yearly SRS midwinter rendez-vous (MRV) is each year on Dec. 28, 09:00 hr (UTC) and ends on Dec. 29, 16:00 hr (UTC).
Participants can choose out of 3 groups: Multimode, CW only, SWL.
Multimode includes: FM/AM/USB/LSB/CW/MCW, SWL all modes.
The score depends on the type of equipment used and the conditions where the equipment is used, 7 categories can be identified.
De total score is an addittion of the points scored with your own station and the points of your counterstation, if your counterstation has the call PI4SRS 2 more points can be added.
A second QSO with the same station but in another mode (on the same or another frequency) counts as a new QSO.
The number of points that can be scored is listed below:
Category 1 Mobile (M) 15 points
Mobile stations on the move, portable (backpack) or military vehicle mounted. Equipment must be from category 3 or 4 with the original vehicular antennas. Power supply (dry) batteries and/or vehicle dynamo’s. Mobile and backpack stations must operate with the suffix “mobile”.
Category 2 Field (P) 10 points
Stations on fieldday-location. Equipment is from category 3 or 4 with the original rod or wire antennas. Power supply: (dry) batteries and/or surplus generators (commercial aggregates are not allowed).

Category 4 Classic 2 points
Fixed stations using classic equipment, surplus from 1946 onwards ex-army or commercial.
Modern equipment special designed and manufactured for radio amateur use, is not allowed. Modern power supplies and antenna systems are allowed.
Power amplifiers not originally belonging to the transmitter are not allowed.
Category 5 Homebrew 2 points
Fixed stations using homebrew equipment
Category 6 Modern 1 point
Fixed stations, comprising modern and old equipment, special manufactured for the radio amateur.
Category 7 SWL
SWL stations (any equipment), for points see above.
Some examples how to calculate your score
Own station is a WS19 (category 3, Veteran, 5 pts.), counterstation is Modern (category 6, 1 pts.), total score 6 pts.
Own station is a RT-3030 (category 4, Classic, 2 pts.), counterstation is Field (category 2, 10 pts.), total score is 12 pts.
Own station is a GRC/9 (category 4, Classic, 2 pts.), counterstation is Homebrew (category 5, 2 pts.), totalscore is 4 pts.
Own station is Field (category 2, 10 pts.), counterstation is Mobile (category 1, 15 pts.) with the PI4SRS call (2 extra pts.), totalscore is 27 pts.
You may claim a score only for contacts made on each particular band and in each particular mode. So two contacts with the same station in one band and in the same mode are only valid for one contact, in the same band but different modes counts for a new score.
The use of repeater stations (such as on 10 or 6 meters) is not good for any credit. We only deal in simplex two-way contacts! Contacts made within a radius of 1000 meter between stations are not valid for any score. Apart from the exchange of the normal info you are asked to submit a QSO-number.
Our club callsign PI4SRS is on the air at unpredictable times during the rendez-vous and acts as a JOKER station; if you work (or log for SWL) this station you may add 2 pts. extra to your score.
