callbook server and database offering an unlimited evaluation for free.
Created initially as a supplement to the CQRLOG logging software, it
developed into a big, standalone project serving the Ham Radio Community
worldwide.

Why another hamradio callbook?

Since the owner of the one of popular callbook servers decided to hide
all addresses until you get registered and log-in, Petr, OK2CQR decided
to write his own. This callbook, now available at http://www.hamqth.com/
provides all information for free because you entered data to callbook
for free and didn't get paid for it. So it won't be right to ask for any
payment if you want to publish your data. Also, we believe that the
"auto fill" features that use the callbook servers in the background to
fetch callsign data as soon as the user types in a callsign into his
logging program is a very useful option which should NOT be discouraged,
in contrary to some other calbook server owners.

You can register to the HamQTH.com server, add or edit your address or
QSL route, write some biography details, put photos here etc. What is
unique, you can choose if your address or other details will be shown
also to unregistered users. Your profile is split into two parts, you
can enter your on-air nickname and QTH as the nearest large city
(example) which will be "auto filled" if requested. You can leave empty
your actual name and address if you feel compromised. Of course, your
profile can be deleted any time and HamQTH.com will never store any info
about you...

HamQTH.com includes other interesting features like activity overview
using the DX Custer spots and RBN (Reverse Beacon Network) entries,
customizable multi-language user interface and much more.

HamQTH.com uses exclusively data widely available on the Internet for
free. The server space and other web site related things are, of course,
not available for free, it would be appreciated if you send a small
donation. Or just spread all over the world that this nice site exists.
We'd like to have as much users as possible.

How can you help?

- register, create and keep up-to-date your profile and use HamQTH.com
as frequently as possible.

- tell your friends about HamQTH.com, spread this info everywhere you
can (publish it in your local ham radio magazine etc.). Remind them to
create or update their profiles, add photos and more details, publish
your station and QTH info, a story or whatever you want. You can have
your personal web site there!

- provide us with any electronic callbook of your country, keep us
informed about callbook download links etc.

- consider to create a localization file in your language. Contact us
(to prevent double effort), we will tell you immediately if we need your
language file.

HamQTH.com can't exist without your support. Use it, promote it and keep
it up to date!
